Biography
Aviva Halter-Hurn is a professional artist who lives in Dorset. Best known for her sepia pen and ink drawings, she is also a talented watercolour artist as well as sculptor and potter.
Aviva has exhibited in galleries and shows throughout the UK, including a joint venture with Dorset Wildlife Trust. Writing the introduction for this, conservationist Sir David Bellamy wrote
“Aviva's pictures are superb, the sepia ink gives them a poignancy of a fleeting glimpse as we often see the wildlife at dusk.”
Using the techniques of Dürer and Rembrandt, Aviva's sensitive interpretations have a timeless quality which unites the past with the present.
