Biography
Ardyn was born in 1956, educated at Haberdasher's Askes, London and won a scholarship to study English at Pembroke College, Cambridge.
He has painted and exhibited from childhood and his first exhibition was in 1965 at the age of 9 followed by a second in 1968. Since then he has exhibited nationally and internationally and won a number of awards.
A versatile artist, equally at home with oils, silkscreen printing or illuminated artwork, he has also just completed a commission for an 8' high statue cast in bronze for the Armoured Corps Main Memorial Centre in Israel. Ardyn has also collaborated several times with his father, Roman, on commissions for stained glass windows. Their latest commission, completed in March 2004, was 2 stained glass windows for the new Rwandan Genocide Memorial Centre in Kigali.
